Building renovation

The existing property was a shell apartment situated on the third floor of a
grade II listed building. The shell consisted of a vacant open plan room with a
first floor mezzanine area forming an open plan gallery space.

The Brief

The brief was determined by the developers and Manchester Conservation
teams guidelines which meant we had to prepare construction drawings, M&E
drawings and a Heritage Statement to obtain, planning, listed building consent
and building regulations approvals.

The clients brief was to design a modern contemporary space which had to
include two bedrooms (both with ensuite), a large open plan kitchen, dining
area, lounge, family bathroom, utility space, office space and staircase to the
first floor gallery.
